1 (Suggestion Only): Arrive Cairns to Atherton
Day 1 Arrive in Cairns and pick
up your vehicle before spending some time exploring some of the local highlights
Cairns has to offer such as Cairns Esplanade with its lovely ocean front promenade,
saltwater swimming lagoon and beach. When it suits, travel towards Port Douglas
along the Captain Cook Hwy to experience some of the stunning beaches before returning
to the popular rainforest skyrail and Kuranda for the tourist markets and butterfly
sanctuary before returning to Cairns where you will spend the night.

Day 2
(Suggestion Only): Cairns to Mission Beach via Atherton
Day
2 is a fascinating day exploring the stunning attractions of the Atherton Tablelands
on the way to beautiful Mission Beach. Along the way visit the natural attractions
including spectacular trees, beautiful waterfalls, crater lakes and some amazing
rock formations. Head off down the range towards Innisfail, taking a break at
Millaa Millaa Falls on the way. Next stop is famous Mission Beach with over 14
kilometers of magnificent golden sandy beaches, you'll be spoilt for choice as
you laze away the rest of the day in paradise. In many places, the rainforest
literally fringes the golden beach.

3 (Suggestion Only): Mission Beach to Townsville - 230km
A relaxing morning around
spectacular Mission Beach. A fully flexible day with the opportunity to explore
some of the attractions and beautiful walks around Mission Beach or visit Dunk
Island before traveling to Townsville via Lumholtz National Park and the spectacular
attractions along the coast, Depending on what time you arrive into Townsville
feel free to enjoy some time on the sweeping esplanade at one of the many cafes
or head up Castle Hill for for some stellar views over the city.

4 (Suggestion Only): Townsville to Airlie Beach - 304km
Day 4 Drive from Townsville
to Airlie Beach This morning check out the worlds largest living coral reef aquarium
at Reef HQ or the short trip over to Magnetic Island on the ferry (discounts available
as part of package). Once on Magnetic Island, there is a hop on hop off bus to
take you around the various bays .Airlie has great restaurants, sights and nightlife,
take a moonlight dip in the manmade lagoon at Airlie Bay or a bushwalk on one
of the many tracks in The Conway Range behind Airlie Beach. A great place to stop
and relax.

Day 6 (Suggestion Only): Airlie Beach to Mackay - 154 kms
Day 6 has you driving to
Mackay at whatever time of day suits. Spend another morning at Airlie Beach one
of Queenslands iconic landmarks.. As you head south you have the option to detour
and explore Eungella National Park and Finch Hatton Gorge waterfall.On Arrival
into Mackay learn about the mining, agriculture and tourism that power this vibrant
regional city.

Enjoying a mixture of inland
and coastal scenery on your journey South, make a detour to the stunning orchid
gardens with landscaped waterfalls and moats. Take a 2 hour wagon tour at Polston
Sugar Cane Farm. before arriving at Rockhampton. Rckhampton spans the Tropic Of
Capricorn and is the self proclaimed "beef capital" of Australia. Here
you can enjoy the very best of Reef 'n' Beef! The Capricorn Caves are another

An early start will see
you heading south with a quick detour to Gladstone and at Miriam Vale before turning
off to the picturesque coastal towns of Agnes Water and The Town Of 1770. Agnes
Water boasts Queenslands most Northern surf beach while 5kms away you'll find
the laid back relaxed community of 1770. Check out the view from the Bustard Head
Lighthouse before tracking back to the highway and heading on to Bundaberg.

9 (Suggestion Only): Bundaberg to Hervey Bay to - 114 kms
Day 9 has you spending
time exploring Bundaberg with its many sights including, the nearby turtle rookery
(Nov-Mar), the famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery or a trip down to the mouth of
the Burnett river on the "Bundy Belle. Bundaberg is a gateway to the Southern
Great Barrier Reef with many opportunities to take a day tour to explore the wonders
of the great barrier Reef including the simply stunning Lady Elliot Island. Throughout
the Bundaberg -Harvey Bay region there is a sense of history mixed with wilderness
adventure, rural experiences and warm country hospitality. Hervey Bay is the gateway
to Fraser Island, a must for all adventurers!

Day 10 is a full day at Harvey Bay with a recommended day trip to Fraser Island.
A world Heritage listed park, Fraser Island is one of Australia's great attractions.
A scenic flight is a fantastic way to see the true magic of this gigantic sandbar,
take a dip in a crystal clear freshwater lake and maybe spot a dingo or 2!. If
Fraser Island is not part of your plans; enjoy a relaxing day on one of the Sublime
beaches of Hervey Bay. During the whale watching season (mid July - early August)
you can take a cruise to catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures as they make

Day 11 Has you traveling
from Hervey Bay to Noosa at whatever time of day suits. Stopping off & exploring
the scenery and attractions around the Great Sandy National Park including Rainbow
Beach. Noosa offers everything from boutique shopping and exquisite cuisine to
picnics on the beach. For the more adventurous the small, but very beautiful Noosa
National Park situated on Noosa's head is full of great walks and wildlife.

Noosa to Brisbane . Your departure time will depend on what time you are returning
the vehicle and how you are departing Brisbane. If you have time take a break
at the prosperous dairy centre of Caboulture and Glass House Mountain with its
vista of volcanic crags protruding from the coastal plain. Alternatively arrive
early to Brisbane to explore the City's culture and attractions. Please Note: vehicle must be returned before 4pm.
