Day 1 (Suggestion Only): Sydney to Newcastle - 161km

Day 1 Arrive in Sydney and pick up your vehicle before beginning your holiday. As you begin heading north you will drive through Sydneys stunning harbour with opportunities to stop off and explore any of the iconic attractions depending on your interests. As you leave Sydney you have the option to stay on the main highway and arrive into Newcastle early or alternatively take the coastal road and explore the spectacular region that is known as the central coast. The balance of beautiful beaches, lakes and hinterlands offer outstanding natural beauty & award-winning attractions. On arrival into Newcastle, once a major industrial area, take time to soak up the cities relaxed atmosphere, magnificent beaches and artistic Café culture.

Day 2 (Suggestion Only): Newcastle to Foster/Tuncurry - 165km

The drive between Newcastle and Foster/Tuncurry takes you through Port Stephens With 26 golden sandy beaches, a bay two and a half times the size of Sydney Harbour and many beautiful inlets, Port Stephens is great place to stop. Try some of the locally produced wines or macadamias. Check out the famous restaurants of Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay. Further north turn off just after Bulandelah and head to the twin towns of Foster/Tuncurry, passing through the Myall Lakes National Park and the Great Lakes district. The twin towns of Foster/Tuncurry is one of New South Wales most loved holiday spots.

Day 3 (Suggestion Only): Foster/Tuncurry to Port Macquarie - 165km

Head north to Port Maquarie following the road through Taree. You have three options; 1) take the direct road on the Pacific Highway to Port Maquarie 2) take the road right at Kew and following the scenic rought through North Haven, Bonny Hills and Lake Cathie. or 3) the inland trip gives you a taste of dense tropical forests in the surrounding national parks through Wingham and up to Tapin Tops National Park and Dingo Tops rest area.

Day 4 (Suggestion Only): Port Maquarie to Coffs Harbour - 177km

Spend the morning discovering the fascinating attractions around Port Macquarie before heading north to Coffs Harbour. Follow the road direct north or detour through the Macleay Valley Coast at Kempsey taking in the National Parks and reserves which cover most of the Valley's sand-fringed coastline. Explore Hat Head National Park with pristine beaches, sand dunes, headlands and wetlands. Visit the Smoky Cape Lighthouse at South West Rocks before heading back to the main road on the way through Nambucca Heads into Coffs Harbour where the Great Dividing Range meets the ocean. Whilst in Coffs Harbour you can either visit the many Tourist attractions that make this one of the most popular holiday destinations on New South Wales north coast.

Day 5 (Suggestion Only): Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay - 249km

Spend the morning rediscovering Coffs Habour and the small surround townships of Boambee and Sawtell and the Bongil Bongil National park. Depending on when you would like to arrive in Byron Bay, The road to Byron Bay takes you inland through Grafton, up to Ballina and then on to Byron Bay. Grafton is known for its wide streets and Victorian buildings. Ballina is home to the "Big Prawn", and offers an unusual array of eating places and gift shops. Byron Bay is a hugely popular destination on the North Coast which has attracted by alternative lifestylers and wealthy refugees from city living. Few towns have a conflict of lifestyle as Byron Bay, on one hand it is a haven for those wishing to escape to alternative lifestyle and on the other hand has become the home the rich and famous.

Day 6 (Suggestion Only): Byron Bay to Gold Coast - 92km

Spend the morning discovering the beauty of Byron Bay and the surrounding towns of Brunswick Heads and the beautiful beaches before heading on the coast road through towns such as Ocean Shores and Pottsfill to Tweed Heads, the New South Wales/Queensland border and on up to the Gold Coast and the towns of Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise. Depending on what you wish to see along the Gold Coast you could stop at the tranquil towns of Coolangatta or Burleigh Heads or head to the surfing mecca, Surfers Paradise.

Day 7 (Suggestion Only): Gold Coast to Brisbane - 102km

The drive between the Gold Coast and Brisbane along the new Highway takes about 1 hour, Depending on what time you are returning the vehicle and how you are departing Brisbane, this gives you time to view the sights of the Gold Coast including the many Tourist attractions along the way such as Dreamworld or Seaworld. Alternatively arrive early to Brisbane to explore the City's culture and attractions. Package price is based on vehicle being returned before 4pm.
