Day
1 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Adelaide to Port Augusta (via Clare Valley) - 350km
Day 1 Arrive in Adelaide and pick up your vehicle before beginning your holiday. Depending on your interests, spend a bit of time admiring a sample of the many gardens, cultural attractions and magnificent buildings around Adelaide before heading to Port Augusta via the highly awarded Clare Valley Wine Region. The Clare Valley region consists of rolling hills and is almost entirely covered by a patchwork of farms, wineries and small villages. The region is famous for its wineries and its historic towns, which in the most have remained unchanged since the 1840s.

Day
2 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Port Augusta to Coober Pedy - 540km
Day 2 Today you
will depart Port Augusta and begin driving the infamous Stuart Highway north,
where you'll appreciate the enormity and hostility of the Australian landscape.
Tourism in this region is limited to the handfull of pubs and roadside stops that
offer true outback character. Along the way detour to Woomera where you can explore
its history of missile and rocket testing in Australia through the Woomera Heritage
Centre and the Missile Park. On arrival in Coober Pedy relax and prepare yourself
for a full day experiencing this town refered to as the "Opal capital of the world.

3 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Around Coober
Pedy - 20-30km
Spend a full day exploring
Coober Pedy's main attractions. There's the grassless golf course, the underground
church, searching for wealth through mining for Opals, the tourist shops and other underground accommodation, (80% of the population
lives underground due to the harshness
of the environment). In summer temperatures reach 50°C and it has been known to rise to 60°C. Make sure you visit Crocodile
Harry's house.

4 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Cooper Pedy to
Uluru (Ayers Rock) - 650km
Spend
part of today driving the 650km from Coober Pedy to Uluru. Your departure time
will depend on the attractions you want to revisit in Coober Pedy and what you
want to see from these two locations and along the way. An early start is recommended
so you can arrive early into Uluru and begin exploring this breathtaking natural attraction. Late afternoon settle in to appreciate
the stunning impact an Outback Sunset has on the rock.

Day 5 (Flexible / Suggestion Only):
Exploring Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park - 150km
A magnificent day exploring
the Kata-Tjuta National Park. Spend the time driving or walking around the base
of the rock exploring the many aspects of this amazing monolith. A trip to Uluru
is also about experiencing and understanding its cultural & spiritual significance.
Self Discover or take one of the guided tours that inform about the local flora
and fauna, bush foods and the Aboriginal Dreamtime stories. In the afternoon visit
Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) a collection of weathered red domes, located 50 km from
Ayers Rock along a sealed road. Many people believe Kata Tjuta is even more spectacular
than the Rock.

Day 6 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Uluru (Ayers Rock) to Wattarka (Kings Canyon) - 300km
Spend part of today
driving the 300km from Uluru to Kings Canyon. Your departure time will depend
on what time you want to arrive in Kings Canyon and what you want to experience
between these two locations . This morning at Uluru you have the option to participate
in a Sunrise tour or Camel Ride, before arriving and explore striking scenery
and stunning attractions of Kings Canyon. Mid to late afternoon and therefore
cooler part of the day explore the Canyon via the valley walk or rim walk (subject
to health and fitness).

Day 7 (Flexible / Suggestion Only):
Wattarka (Kings Canyon) to Alice Springs - 450km
An
early morning start gives you the opportunity to do the Kings Canyon walk if you
didn't get a chance on the previous day. Then spend part of the day driving the
450km from Wattarka to Alice Springs at whatever time of day suites and depending
on what time and how you are departing Alice Springs. Along the way stop over
at Kings Creek Station a working cattle/camel station with facilities and the
opportunity to experience the outback either by quad (4 wheel motorbike), helicopter
or camel.

free day to relax and explore the spectacular gorges and gaps of the West MacDonnell
Ranges at your own pace. The road is bitumen all the way till Ormiston Gorge and
Glen Helen Lodge. Choose from the 9 attractions depending on your fitness level and interests. All of the attractions are unique
and stunning in their own right After this spectacular day return and spend the night back at Alice Springs.

A free day to relax, and
explore more of Alices' highlights. Alice's attractions can be explored as 6 seperate
discovery trails based on themes. Choose and explore one or more of these themes
depending on your interests. The Communications theme for example includes the
School of the Air (the worlds largest classroom) and the Old Telegraph station.
The Alice Springs Desert Park is a must do (world class display of desert plants
and animals). Package assumes vehicle will be returned to the depot before 4pm
